One real project every ~4–6 weeks, run in 8 short sessions — this platform. Meaning and agency, so the reps feel like building, not drilling.

Spot the smoke before the fire and build a small early stop. “Fix what’s about to break.” Expeditions 1–2.

🛠️ Respond — fix what’s here

Find the real gap under a problem and build the fix. “Fix what’s broken.” Expeditions 3–4 (capstone).

My Math-Fact Smoke Detector

Her own little Smoke Detector — a tool that spots the math facts she's about to forget (the smoke) so she can practice them before they cause a bad grade (the fire).

Her own Fair-Share Fixer — a simple helper that splits things equally (into halves, thirds, fourths) and settles "that's not fair!" before it becomes a real argument.

A problem that's already here: she interviews a neighbor or classmate, finds the real gap under the obvious one, and writes a short opinion piece (claim + reasons) or a tiny info page that helps.

Something I Wonder About

Capstone: she picks a real-world thing she cares about, reads two sources, and makes a little story or explainer that teaches someone else how to handle it — then names whether her project is Foresight or Respond, and why.

Two rules that never bend

Open with a Callback — make her retrieve last time’s thinking. Close with an Open Loop — a real question she carries out the door. And the rule that runs the whole year: she decides, you help. She’s the author, not the audience.

Privacy: first name + age only — never a last name, a school, or an address. Everything works with no account at all, stored on this device. If a coach signs in to back up her work, her builders’ names, progress and log lines sync to her own private row. Build photos never leave the device.
