Write a How-To

Teaching a step-by-step is a gift — it lets someone do what you can do.

The move

A how-to explains steps in order. Use time-order words like first, next, then, and last so the reader can follow along without getting lost.

Write it

Teach a reader how to do something you know how to do — make a snack, build something, or take care of a pet. Put the steps in order.
