Compare Two Things

Seeing how things are alike and different is how you understand them better.

The move

A compare sentence tells how two things are alike or different. Words like both, but, and while help you show it. Example: "Both cats and dogs are pets, but dogs bark and cats meow."

Write it

Pick two things you know well — two animals, two places, or two games. Write sentences that tell one way they are alike and one way they are different.
