The Lemonade Stand

A good plan is just the right steps in the right order — and you can build one.

Read it

Zoe wanted to earn money to buy a birthday gift for her little brother. She decided to build a lemonade stand on her front steps.

First, she squeezed the lemons into a big pitcher and stirred in sugar and cold water. Next, she made a bright sign that said LEMONADE, 50 CENTS. Last, she set out cups and waited for people to walk by.

By the end of the day, Zoe had sold every single cup. She counted her coins and had just enough for the gift.

Retell it

Retell it: who is in it, what did she want, and what did she do first?

Say it out loud first, then type a little. Retelling is the real reading skill — this gets saved to her report.
