Bikes and Buses

How should you get across town — on a bike or on a bus? Both can carry you where you want to go, but they are good at different things.

A bike is powered by you. It is free to ride, it keeps your body strong, and you can stop anywhere you like. But a bike can be slow on a long trip, and you get wet when it rains.

A bus is powered by an engine. It can carry many people a long way quickly, and it keeps you dry inside. But a bus costs money to ride, and it only stops at certain places. The best choice depends on how far you are going and what matters most to you.
